We do not see in the play what happens inside Duncans chamber during the murder, but we understand the implications of his entrance. Up until this point his hand is forced in his actions or, in fact, they are attained fairly by him. He achieved his promotion to Thane of Cawdor, yet he did not play most foully fort it was given to him righteously. After Duncans death, however, we see a new ruthlessness in Macbeth, he firstly kills Those of his chamber, as they had donet. Later he orders the death of his best friend Banquo and his son Fleance when he guesses Banquos suspicion of him as Duncans murderer. Even this he does evilly by persuading two men that they hate Banquo enough to  murder him themselves. The height of Macbeths evil is, however yet to be seen. Hearing of Macduffs desertion, he orders the death of not Macduff but his wife and children, who pose no threat whatsoever to Macbeth as they are on Macbeths side, not yet persuaded against his rule. At this point Macbeth is most certainly a butcher, definitively killing people needlessly and brutally i.e. he becomes a butcher not just by shedding blood, but by shedding blood in an unrighteous manner. After this event though we see, although no apparent reform in Macbeth, no occurrence of evil doings on Macbeths part, and we glimpse in act 5 what a good king Macbeth could have been in the right situation. After this, though, Lady Macbeth is not seen until the start of act five. We can only assume that during this time, she has thought much about recent affairs, and that this is the source of her guile, for she sleepwalks in act five scene one, indirectly confessing her sins and is evidently disturbed by a newfound conscience. She is troubled and wishes all her thoughts banished. This is symbolised by a spot presumably of blood which she repeatedly commands out damned spot and asks will these hands neer be clean?. She also believes her conscience cannot be cleared whats done cannot be undone, and the smell of blood on her hands cannot be masked by all the perfumes of Arabia. After this episode, Lady Macbeth is said to have committed suicide, it would seem due to her guilt. This shows that she is not less guilty but certainly less evil, as one would expect no remorse of crimes from an evil fiend like queen. In conclusion, Lady Macbeth appears to grow less evil as the play progresses, coinciding with the amount of influence she has over Macbeth and other related issues. This gives us an example of justice Lady Macbeth atones her crimes, and therefore goes to her grave not peacefully, she committed suicide but in a better light than Macbeth. The study also highlighted the importance of a hybrid combination of physical, zone and field model. This ensures that a fire engineer has adequate knowledge of how to put out a fire in a building without the weather influencing this decision. They used the help of different apparatus in the laboratory so that the experiment did not go out of hand. Using different propane, JP-8 and diesel fuel burning separately, they were able to study how a fire whirl behaves in different conditions. The velocity of the fires changed with different conditions. From the experiment, they were able to calculate their findings numerically. They found out that there was a two-dimensional azimuthal velocity profiles. The type of fuel used is also of importance as fires burnt in different velocities. They were measured by PIV each at different heights. The fires all burned at different velocities when exposed to different conditions (Hassan et. al., 2001). The researchers also wrote a paper titled, ‘Propagation characteristics of flame spread over propanol, butanol and JP8.’ The study was to show how a flame spread over the three fuels would behave over different ranges of temperature and different amounts of fuel. The range of temperature was between eight to thirty degrees Celsius. The different amounts of fuel were between five to forty millimeters. The flame spread pattern in the tray that was wider tended to be more pulsating than the narrower trays. The narrower trays had a tendency of forming a pseudo-uniform, which meant that the tray width had a significant effect on the flame pattern. The flame of the JP8 fuel was found to be different from that of the other fuels in the study. It required higher ignition energy than those of the alcohols used in the study. JP8 fuel showed an unsteady mode of flame compared to the others (Hassan Saito, 2003). The experiment parameters are tray size, fuel chemical structure, and fuel ignition temperature and ignition source. The results from the alcohol-based fuels showed minor differences as compare to those of JP8. The tray’s size played a major role in the experiment. They found that detailed flow and temperature structure played an important role in how a flame reacts over fuel. The pardoner’s prologue and tale is comprised of many of these sins, the pardoner himself demonstrating the majority. Other characters, such as the 3 rioters also embody many of these sins. This essay will explore these characters as well as their evil natures and formulate an opinion how Chaucer presents evil in the pardoner’s prologue and tale. The pardoner’s evil nature is initiated from his physical description in the general prologue. He is described as having hair as yelow as wex and hood we wered noon – a description immediately illustrating him as a rule breaker, as for most clergymen it was assumed they would cover their hair. In addition to this, he is described as having such glaryng eyen. In the medieval times, this amounted to the suggestion of evil; therefore, Chaucer has constructed the pardoner in such a way to ambiguously imply he may be somewhat evil. Critics, such as Spearing, have noted that the pardoner’s repellent outer appearance reflects his inner corruption. The repeated suggestion of a brotherhood and addressing each other as brethren has underlying irony as each rioter is ultimately killed by each other’s greed. It has been suggested that as the rioters are not named, and therefore are nt personally addressed, that they have been constructed to suggest the embodiment of sin. Their deaths are quick and do not have much effect; instead, the focus is on the sins that they do commit. This stresses that their evil natures are what caused their own deaths. However, it can be argued that although the pardoner presents evil in the pardoner’s prologue and tale, the fact that he acknowledges this suggests he is fully aware of his evil nature. Koff suggests that the pardoner is not so much evil as he is bold. This can be argued to an extent, as he does admit to being a ful vicious man, yet states that a morale tale yet I yew telle kan. This can be portrayed as being ironic, as he is fully aware of his evil nature, yet still believes that he can preach against the sins he so readily admits to committing. In addition to this, Chaucer does incorporate some good nature into the novelle in the form of the old man. His addressing of the three rioters as sires in comparison to the rude greetings of the rioters compares and relates age and innocence; the old man may have been faithful during his lifetime and therefore God will not take his life. In contrast, the young sinful rioters quickly come to their death through their own lack of faith. To conclude, I believe that a ‘sinister exploration of evil’ is truly presented in the pardoner’s prologue and tale. Chaucer uses characterization of the pardoner and three rioters to present how corrupt medieval society was, as well as how readily sins were committed.
